This is a super, fascinating biography about a Chinese-American mother raising her two girls. She talks about forcing them to practice 6 hours of piano/violin a day, never allowing them to go to a play date, and yelling at them if they get an A-. Although both children turned out to be musical geniuses--there was quite the price to pay. Although I could never parent this way, it really was intriguing to see the Chinese mother way of doing things (I thought I was strict!).
