The Joy Luck Club

I had heard that this book is one of the best memoir-style books written.  It's a story about mothers from China who have raised daughters in America.  June joins the Joy Luck Club and takes her mother's place, who has just passed away.  She learns the stories of the three other women and their daughters.  A sad, touching, and enlightening read.
