Princess Academy is about Miri, a girl not allowed to work with the other villagers in the quarry. She finds a new purpose however, when she attends a school for girls and prepares to meet the prince. This is one of my favorite books and is written by local author, Shannon Hale. The story has a fable-like feel to it and will leave you believing in quarry-speech!
