This story was a bit disturbing at times but I thought it had a very interesting perspective on the story of Noah's Ark. It is written by both Noah's family and the animals' perspective. Geraldine McCaughrean is a very good writer. This story really made me think. This book won the Whitbread Children's Book Award, which is an award given to British and Irish authors. I would not call it a children's book (it is listed under young adult, which it should be).
