You know how there are some books that you want to throw across the room when you finish them?! This was one of them for me. Ahhhh!

The book started out really good and interesting--a foster boy gets a scholarship to a private school but very soon realizes he's trapped.  There are no adults at the school and the students have formed three gangs in order to survive.  However, it progressively got more and more violent.  I kept thinking that the violence would lend itself to something--a good ending all wrapped up nicely.  But, no...the ending leaves you hanging and feeling disturbed.  It was not worth staying up until 2am for me!  I don't think I'll read the second book coming out in October.

I'm still trying to decide why I like, Hunger Games but don't like books like this one and, Divergent.  What is it about teen fiction and killing?  I think some books cross the line and this one did.  Don't ask me why I feel like, Hunger Games was a bit different...
